Least wrong wins

Rank all 8 teams in every NHL division before the puck drops on the lock. When the regular season ends, the official standings decide who was least wrong.

Rank

Put the 8 teams of each division in the order you think they'll finish the regular season. Playoffs don't count.

Submit

Only what you submit counts. Change your mind and submit again as often as you like until Sunday 18 October, 23:59. After that, rankings are locked.

Watch

Rankings are sealed until the lock, then revealed. Scores update every day as if the season ended that day.

Higher or lower doesn't matter: two places too high costs the same as two places too low.

Your top picks are your big bets: the top two slots count ×2, the bottom two ×1. The weight follows the slot on your ballot, so you always know what a pick is worth.

Worked example

Atlantic. Final standings: FLA, TOR, TBL, OTT, BOS, MTL, DET, BUF. You swapped three neighbouring pairs and got everything else right.

Missed the lock?

If you never submitted, your ranking becomes the official standings at the lock, and you lose 10 points. Unsubmitted changes at the lock are ignored: your last submission is your entry.

🃏 The mystery card coming

Twice a season, at the Christmas break and the All-Star break, you may move one team to a new spot in its division; the teams in between shift by one. The window opens when the last game before the break ends and closes when the first game after it starts. Moves stay secret until the window closes. Unused cards don't carry over.

Division titles · bragging rights only

Whoever scores highest in a division holds its title, shown as a badge on the leaderboard. No points, just glory.
